Can I say MMMMMMMMMMerino wool socks

My friend, Catalina, sent me a few knitting books down my way for me too keep, love getting free stuff.

So I thought, what a better way to say thank you other then knitting her a pair of merino wool socks. This pattern is called the hourglass, it also has garter stitch edge for the heel which makes it sssssuuuuuppppppeeeeerrrrrrrrr easy to pick up those darn heel stitches.

When I was looking through my stuff, I found a shawl that I crochet quite some time ago and never really used it. I thought to myself, Cat could probably use this shawl, she works nights, it gets chilly at times....................why not...............I already had made one just like it.

I also sent her a few goodies, left over yarn from the shawl, at least 3 skeins of quebec handpsun wool, plus the left over of the merino wool, might have enough to make something small with it. Off to the post office I go, stuffed everything in a bag, and to toronto it goes making it's way to Cat's hands.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! All I can say is WOW! Never thought I would think of a pair of socks the ones I'd only wear for special occasions! They are absolutely beautiful, perfectly shaped, I just love them! Thank you, Nicole, you have hands of gold!!!

The shawl is my favourite colour, how in the world did you know?!?!?!? I will take pics wearing both:)

As far as the wool you sent me I I am thinking of making a cute little poncho.

Thanks again my dear - your really made me feel special xoxo
